Biltong and droëwors

If there is one thing many South Africans miss from the old country, than that would be decent Biltong and Droëwors.

So out with it! As an expat, where do you find yours? Share the secret! If you make your own and wish to sell, leave a comment here so that we know.

Come now, don’t keep it all to yourself...

There is a butcher in Baldock, Hertfordshire, where my parents buy their biltong. The butcher is British but his biltong is amazing. South African relatives of mine get his biltong delivered to them because it is better than the stuff you buy in SA shops. If anyone wants the address I can ask my parents foe you.

Our local liquor store now stocks biltong, chilli stick and even some good KWV or Klippies.

there was a south african shop in bahrain that used to sell all these gooodies, my brother (who know lives in a small village outside cambridge) also has a butcher that does things "by request". and all the bloody americans have to offer is "beef jerky". i think not.

Po - Thanks.

Attie - :)

licia - Here in the UAE also. They know we drink Klippies and eat biltong. :)

Bashing - Nice!

Disa - Biltong is what beef jerky wants to be when it grows up.

sarah - That sucks!
